RIAM is a space for the exchange of good practices and cooperation between the participating immigration authorities. RIAM was created with the purpose of generating a cooperation tool between the Ibero-American migration authorities to share information and training, unify criteria and measures regarding transnational crimes such as human trafficking, document falsification, migrant smuggling, and other issues that allow improve migration management, in accordance with the legal and regulatory frameworks of each country.

Objectives

  1. Strengthen technical cooperation on migration
  2. Consolidate mechanisms for the exchange of information 
  3. Training of its officials and good practices in the Immigration Control
  4. Institutionalize the operation of migration processes with its member countries
  5. Establish strategic alliances for the fight against transnational crimes associated with migration
