Back and Beyond: Migrants Tell Their Personal Stories
After the successful edition of the publication 17 Return Stories IOM published a new edition with stories about migrants and return. In the Dutch-English publication Back and Beyond, IOM presents six different portraits of migrants and an interview with an IOM counsellor.
The main aim of the publication is to show the impact of personal guidance to migrants who consider voluntary return.
Quoting the author, IOM employee Olivier Sprée: "With this publication I wanted to come as close as possible to the migrant. IOM meets migrants every day; we know how they live in the Netherlands, we know their wishes and ideals." The six migrant stories highlight the different stages of the migration cycle, from the journey to Europe to reintegration in countries of origin.
