Module 3: Document Integrity – Technology Applications and Awareness-raising
Various activities under this Module will focus on technology applications improvement to support the plans of the Government of the Philippines to introduce a machine-readable passport.
Further activities target the public and aim at raising awareness via multi-media information campaign on the importance of document integrity and the passport issuance process. Information dissemination activities will also target Government officials across the country who prepare and authenticate original documents (such as birth certificates).
The goal of this Module is to assist the Government of the Philippines in realizing the implementation of the machine-readable passport project which will improve document integrity. While technology can assist with document integrity, it is important to raise awareness and ensure proper information on the importance of document integrity at all levels of civil society.
