The Republic of the Congo became a Member State of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) on the 7th of June, 2001. Since then, IOM in Congo Brazzaville has implemented several projects such as the repatriation in 2014 of Chadian migrants stranded in Congo Brazzaville, and the assisted voluntary return and reintegration of Congolese migrants stranded in Morocco in 2009, among others.
