Polish construction workers form the largest group of labor migrants in Norway. As such, their employers have expressed the need for better information for labour migrants. The available information is fragmented and difficult to access; there is a lack of overview of the system; the laws and regulations are complicated; and limited information available in languages that migrants understand.

The lack of Norwegian language skills among the Polish labour migrants bring about misunderstandings and misinformation. It make it difficult to the migrants to follow Norwegian laws and regulations and ensure that their rights as employees are not violated. Limited information also has led to a situation where the Polish construction workers use their employers as information sources about all aspects of life.
