Migration in the Asia–Pacific region is a dynamic and complex phenomenon driven by various factors. As the world’s most disaster-prone region, the escalating impacts of climate change and natural hazards are the primary drivers of humanitarian needs. At the same time, the region faces complex and protracted conflicts, along with economic, political and social challenges driving humanitarian crises and protracted displacement.
