For the past three years, 3,000 permit holders received training to develop their soft skills, which should make it easier to acquire work. The training is part of the VOORwerk project, which also includes individual sessions and guidance to an internship or to work.

On 15 October VOORwerk will be evaluated with all stakeholders: refugees, employers, representatives of municipalities and other government institutions and organizations active in the field of integration. Aim of the meeting is to learn from each other's experiences and to create new opportunities for refugees wishing to enter the labour market.

VOORwerk is a cooperation between the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA), IOM and Foundation for Refugee Students (UAF).
