Emergency Health Care in South Sudan

Every day, IOM health teams provide lifesaving medical care to internally displaced persons across South Sudan, where 6.1 million people are in need of assistance due to two-and-a-half years of war. Doctors and nurses work in often harsh conditions as their efforts are hindered by insecurity, including violence that destroyed an IOM clinic at a peacekeeping base in Malakal in early 2016.
