The objective of the project is to contribute to a strengthened and inclusive national response to the use of technology in cases of trafficking in persons in Montenegro.
The project will seek to do so through two Outcomes. First, it will enable law enforcement representatives to engage more effectively in countering online and technology-facilitated trafficking in persons (Outcome 1) by strengthening their capacities to conduct digital investigations by way of learning from a country with a successful track record of conducting digital investigations, as well as training and simulation exercises (Output 1.1) and by enhancing international cooperation on the matter through bilateral and multilateral meetings (Output 1.2). It will also promote local response actors and the general public to adopt a proactive approach in the identification of potential victims of trafficking (VoTs) (Outcome 2) by making available to the general public and practitioners a Vulnerability Screening Tool for Victims of Trafficking in Persons in the form of a mobile application to facilitate the identification of VoTs (Output 2.1) and by carrying out a media campaign to raise awareness on online and technology-facilitated recruitment of VoTs (Output 2.2).
