Iraq -  More than 82,000 people have been displaced by ongoing Mosul military operations since 17 October, according to IOM Iraq’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Emergency Tracking. This figure represents an increase of more than 4,200 individuals in the past four days (since 2 December). 

Iraq - Winter rains and plunging temperatures have hit northern Iraq in the past two days, posing additional challenges for those affected by military operations around Mosul.

Turkey - IOM Turkey is on course to rehabilitate the accommodation of 250 Syrian families by 31 December 2016, under a pilot scheme in Sanliurfa province. The project, funded by the Norwegian government began in October and will conclude at the end of the year.

Republic of Korea - The Republic of Korea has contributed USD 400,000 to IOM to provide support to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and other conflict-affected communities in Yemen. 

Somalia - IOM Somalia has distributed emergency kits containing mosquito nets, plastic sheets, blankets, sleeping mats and hygiene packs to 100 vulnerable, conflict-displaced families in Galkayo, Somalia. The distribution was funded by the Government of Japan.

Iraq - Over one month into Mosul military operations nearly 73,000 Iraqis are currently displaced from Mosul and adjacent districts. 

South Sudan - As the armed conflict in South Sudan approaches its fourth year, civilians continue to flee the violence that has gripped much of the country and resulted in vast humanitarian needs.

Somalia - IOM, Somalia’s Ministry of Agriculture and a Japanese company, Tottori Resource Recycling Inc. (TRR), are piloting a unique farming technology which will help mitigate the impact of recurring droughts in Somalia.

Iraq - Over one month into Mosul military operations some 68,100 Iraqis are currently displaced from Mosul and adjacent districts.

Libya - IOM's Displacement Tracking Matrix released its fourth Flow Monitoring Analytical report, which reveals that Libya remains the main country of intended destination.
