Access to potable water is a challenge for displaced populations worldwide. Large amounts of iron and impurities make available water unsafe to drink. In countries like Somalia and Bangladesh, IOM and private sector partners are finding safe solutions. Japanese company PolyGlu developed a powder that coagulates impurities and filters them out. treatment centers in 14 countries currently supply 3 million people with clean water.
