The Audit and Oversight Advisory Committee (AOAC) is an independent and non-executive advisory committee to IOM’s Director General to assist her in fulfilling her oversight responsibilities. It also reports to IOM Member States on the appropriateness and effectiveness of internal oversight, risk management and internal controls at IOM. The Committee reports annually to the IOM Standing Committee on Programmes and Finance (SCPF). The Committee meets two to three times a year.

  • Amiri Abdallah
    Abdallah is a qualified Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), PRINCE2 Practitioner, and with over nineteen years’ experience in internal and external audit advisory, risk management, fraud examination, project management, public financial management advisory, trainings, process improvements, financial and operational restructurings.
  • Ayesha Siddiq
    Ayesha Siddiq is a civil servant from the Department of the Auditor General of Pakistan. 
     
  • Gerardo Carstens
    Gerardo Carstens is a qualified specialist, with 40 years of experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Quality Assurance Reviews (QARs), Sarbanes Oxley Act, Corporate Governan.  
     
  • Jorge da Silva
    Jorge da Silva was appointed Executive Auditor of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on September 1, 2012.  
     
  • Silke Waterstraat
    Silke is a lecturer of Finance at the Institute for Finance, University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland.
